We had an unwelcomed visitor today!

He enjoyed a sweet treat!

The hanger was still in place and was surrounded by claw marks.
Fortunately, we were busy all day and never knew he was here.

We took a short ride around the neighborhood
to check out the cell phone service.
ATT seems to have the same low coverage everywhere.

We hoped these clouds would bring some rain,
but only a few sprinkles.

Our pretty mountain sunset!

Family Farkle & Food!

Our ride today was back to the State Trust Land to head East.
 We found this working windmill
that provides water for cattle.
Making note for our return to the truck,
we considered the possibility of removing
the accumulated dust from ourselves and our ATVs
in this tank.  But, we waited for the showers at the cabin.
 One man's trash..
 is another man's treasure.

Looks like someone is setting up housekeeping.
Hmmm... how long has it been since you heard that?

We found this place entertaining for quite a while.
It seemed that the inhabitants simply moved on at some point,
leaving traces of daily life behind.

Dropping a pin on the iPhone map.

Lunch break!

And back to the cabin where we played a hot game of Farkle,

relaxed

and cooked another yummy meal!

Chicken Fried Ride!

Our very favorite riding is on State Trust Land.
There have been some major changes in accessing it recently.
Mickey did the research, purchased and downloaded our stickers
and parking permit and reviewed the maps.
What a pleasant surprise to find easy access,
convenient parking, well marked areas
and no hassles with land owners to cross their property!

It was a beautiful day to ride!

Lunch was a fun treat of BLTs!

And mini wine!

And in a pretty setting.
We called it the 'Aspen Grove Cafe'

Dropping a pin.

Dinner tonight was fried everything!

Chicken Fried Steaks

YUM! Yum!
Pass the tums!

Memorial Day

Each of my SILs has great knowledge of plants.
When I mentioned a trip to the Salman Ranch Nursery,
they were anxious to go.

Making choices in the greenhouses.

Our purchases loaded.

Plan the plant.

Plant the plan.
"Thank you, my green thumb sisters!"

Moral suppport and more.

The flower garden.

I am excited to find several flowers returning!

A new pot addition.

Cilantro

Purple Salvia

Pinks

Whew, all this work makes me tired!

Sadly, Larry & Terry had to leave today.

We had a quiet, restful evening.

Annual Memorial Day Weekend

My favorite BILs and SILs are all good cooks,
comfortable in our kitchen
and have a good time together.

So, we start the day with strong coffee
and a hearty breakfast.

Then, we ride!

Off loading.

Ready to roll.
