The last piece of the puzzle and of the birthday cake...

The last puzzle piece was installed at about midnight last night.
Or so I was told, as I was fast asleep at that time.

\

And... they kept their sanity.
Unbelievable.
However, judging by the laughter,
they were having a pretty fun evening.
But I am sworn to secrecy.
After all,
"What happens at the cabin stays at the cabin."

We enjoyed your stay, your friendship
and your birthday cake!
Happy Birthday Dallas and Natalie!

Saturday Evening Post

It's Saturday evening in the mountains
and we are setting the clocks back.
Tomorrow, as we travel to Amarillo,
we will set our clocks forward.
Our bodies will be so confused!

Our guests this weekend have enjoyed rest.

Puzzles.

Making bows.

And more puzzles.
This one will be finished by morning.

33% of our current guests have a birthday this weekend!

Our guests arrived this afternoon and
went to work on their puzzles.
1,000 pieces!

What a great way to spend time together!

I know that it is common to find someone who shares birthdays.
But it is just fun for these two to be travelling together this weekend!
We shared the benefits when their friends brought a surprise cake.

YUM!  Belmar Bakery makes a delicious AND pretty cake!
Thank you Dallas and Natalie for having birthdays this weekend!
Thanks to your sweet friends for the sweet treat!

A sweep is as lucky as lucky can be!

Our trip this week brings us to some maintenance issues.  Oh nothing major, just those little things that have to be done.  We pulled the trailer loaded with firewood.  Already split from Steve's farm, it is ready for action.

It's time for that happy crew.

Sweeping the chimney.

The ladder.

The rope.

The sweep.

Done.

Down.

Just checking on the wine?
No, not yet.

Due to quite a few spider sightings and cobwebs,
we set fog in the cabin and left it to work.
Our neighborhood is getting empty as the cold weather approaches.
But, we found neighbors for a short visit!

Back home,

ahhh...
