Our Fall Foliage Tour

We started with appointments in Amarillo and business in Tulsa.  As our vacation really began, we camped at Watkins Mill State Park in MO, built in the mid 1800s and appears to have closed for just the weekend.
Tours of a brewery and a winery ended with tastings.
In Indiana, we attended an RV rally, toured the RV factory, and experienced the Amish country.
The Great Lakes are absolutely huge.
Niagara Falls was the epitome of power and beauty, especially the multiple rainbows.
The history of the Erie Canal was fascinating.

We fell in love with Vermont, including Ben and Jerry's, Green Mountain Coffee, and maple syrup.
In Maine, we enjoyed shopping at LLBean and eating our first lobster rolls.
Portland Maine is home to the most photographed lighthouse.

Historical Boston captured our desire to learn more of our country's rich past.  We walked The Freedom Trail in the footsteps of our founding fathers.  Mike's Bakery is where we purchased an entire Boston Cream Pie.
Plymouth Rock has a really interesting story about the actual place where the Pilgrims landed, the reason the rock has decreased in size and it's movement around the town.

It was not a long trip back home because there were a couple of important stops to see our kids and grands.

Having seen the Adirondaks, the Appalachians, the Great Smokeys and the Ozarks, we were glad to return to our Sangre de Cristo range of the Rockies.

There is no place like home.
