Sunday in the West

Any day that starts with morning snuggles is a good day!
We were all dressed and ready for church early. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. The big kids sat on the front row, the three littles on the second and the elders on the third. We couldn't have been more proud of our grands! They were not only well behaved, but were engaged in the entire service. Brock even answered a question that our pastor, Brian asked! Jack had a short conversation with Brian after the sermon. The kids were complimented by several of our church friends and we were asked if they were homeschooled. It is that apparent to others.
After a quick lunch and change of clothes, we headed back to Angel Fire to the Alpaca Ranch.
Mrs Crooks and her granddaughter, Christina gave us a wonderful tour!
We fed the Alpacas, who very well behaved and no one was spat upon! Success!
We learned about the shearing process.
She offered a bag of wool to everyone! Bracelets? Pillows? Rugs? Anyone?
Upstairs is the hayloft and the kids wanted a picture on the hay. The lighting was not great, but here they are!
Outside, in rain gear the kids wanted to meet the Great Perinese Dogs who protect the alpacas.
These dogs are huge!
Returning home, the drink of the day is Ginger Ale.
Brock and Charlotte make a toast!
This is a short, but sweet time of the day when we all sit together on the patio, often with a fire in the chiminea.
Dinner ended with a gun fight. You just never know what will happen next out here in the Wild West!
