Snooping.. Stopped up drain pipe.. Sledding.. Stuck.. Sliding.. Stepping up..Spider webs.. Snowfalll.. Schoolwork

This is one of the tracks
that I saw when we arrived.
We think it is elk snooping around here.
I would have loved to have been here
when they came through!
We had a stopped up drain.
It caused a lot of water and, consequently,
a lot of ice at the back entrance.
Do you see my tea kettle?
It was working hard today to thaw the
chunk of ice blocking the drain pipe.
It succeeded.
And it sure could have been much worse!
Stopped up drains are never fun,
but at least it was outside!
Crissy and her family arrived.
They were so glad to be out of the car!
And, the snow was so inviting!
So, PawPaw got the sleds and away they went.
Going down!

The Sequoia didn't go down quite as well.
It was stuck in the snow.
We pushed, but it slid.
PawPaw came to the rescue
with the giant come-a-long.

Crissy stepped up to the challenge.

Finally, it was safely parked out front.
We heard a crash!
The snow fell from the roof in blocks,
hit the windshield of our truck
and shattered it.
It is still in tact,
but, looks filled with spider webs.
Fortunately, there were no other damages.
Snowfall...

Soft and pretty.

Inside, we all went to work.
School work!

Don't worry.
The wine belongs to the adults.

This is how we spend our quiet evenings.
Good night!
