GKC 2013 - Great Wolf Lodge

After just three days in the mountains, it was time for Grandkids Camp.  With all of them on the East Coast, it only seemed right that we would go there.  Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA was the perfect solution.  Although, not at the cabin, Grandkids Camp has been an annual post and I am just convinced that all of our blog followers are anxiously waiting to read this.  Right?
Well, I can't help myself.
What a fun place to be!
Just a couple of the kids were interested in this show, so here we are.
The big draw is the water park.
It began with a downpour that occurs every five minutes.
Charlotte still enjoys the kiddie pool for a while.
Mitchell and Brock show their physiques.
She checked in with us frequently.
 Will is ready for action.
Jack and Will enjoyed every ride.
 Mitchell poses.
"Now that's what I'm talkin' about!"
What every grandparent needs in the morning.
The flow rider required strength and skill.
The big boys were really good at it.
The Howling Tornado was fast and furious.
It was guaranteed to make you howl!
 Scary, but F U N!
Charlotte called these the lily pads, the other kids called them floating logs.
 Isn't he strong?
 Cousin Friends
I couldn't resist this precious moment.
 Now, wasn't that sweet?
 Now, sassy.
Crissy made these towel pants for each of the kids.  What a great idea!
 ?  ?  ?
 Is it the Great Wolf?
 More towel pants.
 PawPaw and Holly.
 Charlotte and Grammy.
 Towel Popping
 13, 12, 10 (L to R)
We are honored that they wanted to come.
 Lunch?  Make your own PBJs.
An evening adult beverage.  Lucky for us, Will saved the day with his scout knife that included a corkscrew.
 Just hanging out.
 Back at the water park.
Just hiding out in a notch under the bar.
 The evening hearts game.
 Spoons.
 What's for breakfast, PawPaw?
 Coffee with the guys.
Cereal with chocolate milk?  Well, we are at GKC!
We love that they all can entertain themselves.
 Rock climbing, anyone?
 Brock is first.
 Good job!
 Charlotte tried.
 Mitchell chose a difficult side.
 Way to go, Will!
 Holly finds a handle.
 Go Grant Go!
Jack in bare feet.
 Time for a short rest.
We walked to Jungle Jim's for lunch.
 It was cool and yummy.
The great wolf statues out front were pretty impressive.

Back inside, the Magi-Quest was a team effort.
Mitchell and Brock on one team.
Holly and Charlotte on the other.
These magic wands activate many treasures.
 It is quite a challenge.
The big boys opted for mini golf.

Charlotte with one of the characters.
 Sweet.  Hey, notice the t-shirts?
Now this was a fun GKC!

  1. I'm so glad to see this post! I especially love the group photos and also the look on PawPaw's face after the howling tornado. :) The kids had a wonderful time ... thank you for taking them.
