Easter Deer?

We started this morning 

on the finishing touches.

We had the saw going,

the nail gun shooting,

the compressor roaring

and we were talking.

I heard a noise behind me.

As I turned to look,

there were deer headed south

along the old game trail!

I signalled to Mickey to look.

We were both so surprised

to see about 15 deer

just across the back driveway from us.

I reached for the camera.

Mickey headed for the corn. 

As he tossed out the corn,

we got their attention!

One stopped to check it out

and saw that it was good.

So, a couple more decided to join in.

And then there were four

and evenually about seven stopped by

for a snack about ten feet from us.

The last to leave.

Some looked back

 to make note of our location.

As if to say,

"We will return!"

As soon as they were far enough away,

the Jays decided to restake their claim.

We loved seeing so many deer!

Hopefully, they will return.

We will be ready with a better feeder next time.

We didn't see any bunnies in the mountains today.

I wondered if this could be the Easter Deer?

Well, back to work!

Project complete!

Next on the list: hot tub.

Check.

Problem discovered.

Will complete upon our return.

Did it escape our nails?

Check!

All is well, electrically.

The light works.
